- Troop youth leadership positions allow a Scout
to become more involved in the troop decision-making process.
- The Scouts plan the troop’s program and make it
a reality. In order for
this to happen, the troop relies upon Scouts serving in leadership
positions.
- Star rank and above require leadership
service. All troop level
leadership positions as well as patrol leader qualify.
- Troop elections are held in May and
December. All elected youth
leadership terms are 6 months.
- Junior Leader Training is held shortly after
troop elections. All Scouts
elected to a youth leadership position are expected to attend, even if
they attended in the past.
- Qualifications for all leadership positions.
- Must be active in the troop.
- Live by the Scout Oath and Law.
- Show Scout spirit.
- Wear the Scout uniform correctly.
- Key leadership positions make-up the Patrol Leaders Council (PLC).
Note: if you currently hold a youth leadership position
and have any electronic files or forms related to your position, please
consider submitting them for inclusion on this web site. See the Quartermaster
