Senior scouts, age 13 and First Class, are challenged physically and mentally in cold winter camping activities. Extensive compass and orienteering skills along with fire building, pioneering, cooking, and tent setup in the cold highlight the two-night event.

- Senior Scout Challenge takes place on Friday, the 10th at 8:00 PM
- 12th Anniversary Court of Honor takes place on Sunday, the 12th at 4:30 PM
- Laser Web Meeting takes place on Thursday, the 16th at 7:00 PM
- Merit Badge Challenge takes place on Saturday, the 18th at 8:00 AM
- Troop Meeting takes place on Thursday, the 23rd at 7:00 PM
- Perfect North Slopes Day takes place on Sunday, the 26th at 8:00 AM
- Merit Badge Challenge takes place on Saturday, the 24th at 8:00 AM
- Summer Camp 2012 takes place on Sunday, the 15th at 10:00 AM
Troop 974 meets every Thursday night from 7:00 to 8:30 at Center Pointe Christian Church. About sixty boys are registered and many attend meetings and camp-outs.

We currently have six patrols in the troop. They are: The Black Knights, Flying Pheasants, Silver Serpents, Rabid Squirrels, Sly Foxes, and the Killer Rabbits. Each is led by a patrol leader and an assistant patrol leader.
